2012/12/29: Quick Post: Appreciation of All We Have as the Holidays Wind Down

After thoroughly enjoying our sole annual break, there is still time to consider just how fortunate we are for the bounty that comes to us. Neither Gold nor Silver, yet rather the Fruits of the Earth and the relationships with Family, Friends and Colleagues.

So even as we consider how we are going to handle the latest goofiness out of Washington DC (after warning everybody of the continued risk of a macro-technical disconnect into the holidays), it is still a good time to relax and reflect. That is in part a gift from the idiocy in Washington DC as well, as we can all relax until we learn the exact state of things on January 2nd. As recent events have demonstrated, anyone attempting a ‘rational’ analysis prior to that might be less than, well, rational.

Hope it is a fine holiday weekend for all, and we look forward to being back in touch right away in the New Year.

And as always, thanks for your interest throughout the year.

    Well said Brother Alan…

For fully a half decade now, we’ve all been so deeply immersed in the negativity “risk-on, risk-off” implies that we’ve lost sight of the gifts we’ve retained.

The big reset button in the sky has well and truly (perhaps even RIGHTLY) been pushed on our collective behalfs.

So….. I’m considering running for Senate: (“if u can’t beat them, join ’em”).

All my family’s old GOP political advisers (we owned the 45th ward from WWII’s end ’till about ’59) assure me my advancing Dementia probably won’t even be noticed.

    CHEERS!
